Prawn curry recipe - Pazun Hin

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1½ lb peeled prawns
  • 1½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ¾ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 tsp sunflower oil
  • 3 peeled and crushed garlic cloves
  • 1½ peeled and pounded onion
  • ½ in peeled and pounded ginger
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 4 coarsely chopped tomatoes
  • 1½ tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 6 tbsp water

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Rub prawns with soy sauce, turmeric and soy sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute garlic, onion, ginger and chili powder for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in prawns, tomatoes and coriander leaves.
  4. Increase heat, cover and cook for 4 minutes.
  5. Stir in water and simmer gently for 12 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with steamed white rice.
