Ingredients (nutrition)
- 2 lb pork cubes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1½ tbsp corn oil
- 1½ tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp shrimp paste
- ¾ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb pumpkin cubes
Preparation (instructions)
- In a bowl, combine together pork, soy sauce and salt. Cover with cling film and allow to marinate for 1½ hours.
- In a heavy saucepan, add in pork with its marinade, onion, ginger, garlic, oil, chili flakes, shrimp paste, turmeric and 1 cup of water.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Pour in remaining water and stir in pumpkin.
- Cook for a further 20 minutes.
- Serve warm with boiled white rice.
