Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 lb long grain rice
- water
- 3 oz coarsely chopped creamed coconut
- 1 peeled and quartered onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- 1 cardamoms
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ tsp vegetable oil
Preparation (instructions)
- Measure rice using cups and transfer to a saucepan.
- Measure 2 cups of water for every cup of rice and pour into saucepan.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil and cook for approximately 18-20 minutes.
- Serve hot with curry or other gravy.
